Collective: A Black Queer Gallery Show was a group exhibition centered on themes of community, acceptance, and liberation. Featuring eight DMV-based Black queer artists working across photography to mixed media, the exhibition showcased their interpretation of these concepts.

Curated by Morgan Davis, the exhibition welcomed 675 attendees throughout its run, with more than half of the exhibited works sold.

To foster connection and engagement beyond the exhibition, a series of themed monthly Black queer happy hours were hosted alongside the opening and closing receptions, creating opportunities for community-building among artists, attendees, and the broader DMV Black queer community.

“The intention is that regardless of how visitors and attendees come to the show and/or one of the accompanying events, they leave feeling like they were at home and with a greater appreciation for how incredibly intertwined Black queerness is to our collective upliftment”
